Summer Church School: 50 Ways to Save the Earth

Join a series of vital conversations with community leaders, green business innovators, conservationists and religious leaders who share the common value of loving and caring for the earth.

Youth Ministry

For the summer: Wednesday Wanders. Each Wednesday the youth and local youth are invited to join us. We'll take field trips to local areas of interest to learn about how to take care of the earth. Upon returning to the church on Wednesday evenings, we'll have a bonfire cookout! Tuesday July 27th: Feeding Hungry People through Tuesday's Table. Gather at church at 2pm to prepare and serve food.

Wednesday August 4th: Albemarle County Fair, meet at church at 2pm, return time, 9pm

Wednesday August 11th, Cookout and campout on the church grounds. 5:30 to 8 am Thursday.

Summer Schedule

Sunday Morning, 9:45 a.m. "50 Ways to Save the Earth" multi generational Sunday School.

For all ages, we'll have different speakers each week addressing faithful stewardship of the earth.

Sunday July 25: Mike Stoneking, Architect and Green Building Designer and a leader of efforts to rebuild housing in Haiti.

Sunday August 1: Kurt Peterson, Blue Ridge Mountain Sports and member of Blue Ridge.

Sunday August 8: Anne Beardorff, Rivanna Solid Waste Authority leader and local advocate (pending)

Sunday August 15: John Kerber, leading local builder and community advocate for green building approaches. (pending)

Sunday August 22: Green Worship Service
