LeadershipHal Horan, Supply Pastor
We welcome Rev. Hal Horan to the pulpit for the months of December and January, as we prepare to call an interim minister. Ordained in 1965, Hal served four churches—Ann Arbor and Richland (just down the road from Kalamazoo, MI (1965-1975), Miami, Florida (1975-1986) and Baton Rouge, LA, 1986 until his retirement in 2000. Hal and his wife Del moved to Charlottesville in 2001 to be near their second daughter’s family and to continue take advantage of living close to a fine university. In 2004 and 2005, Hal had the privilege of serving Blue Ridge as Supply Pastor and likes to claim that he served a church which started in the 21st Century! Hal also enjoys teaching film in the Ollie program at UVA and taking pictures of Del’s many beautiful quilts.
