Rev. Nancy Clark's focus of ministry is equipping and empowering believers to live for God. She likes to weave stories from life experiences to bring home the message of the Gospel. She has served as an associate pastor and in other positions in the areas of educational and children's ministries, visitor and welcoming ministries, and in leadership development.
Significant involvement in a new church while living in Northern Virginia began a lifelong interest in new church development. She has served on the New Church Development committee of Presbytery of the James multiple times, including as moderator. She has also served as moderator of the Leadership Development Board and on other boards.
Nancy and her husband Glenn live in Mechanicsville, VA. He is a retired U. S. Postal Inspector. In addition to serving God in the church, they enjoy gardening and spending time with family and friends. They are the parents of three sons.
Kris Cushman, Music Director
Kris came to BRPC in 2004, and has been teaching piano and accompanying musicians for over 40 years. She has a BS in Mathematics, with a minor is Music, and an MS in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin. In addition to teaching in her private studio, Kris plays harp for Hospice of the Piedmont in the "Music by the Bedside" program. She is also a harpist for weddings and other special events in the area. Kris and her husband, Dave, have two married daughters and two delightful grandchildren.
Leslie Bailey, Church Administrator
Leslie has served in numerous capacities of leadership for Blue Ridge since 2004, including serving as Clerk of Session and Finance Chair. She has transferred her experience in those areas to the growing realm of Church Administrator. Leslie has a BA in Education, with a minor in Music, from Grove City College. Outside of her work in finance and administration for the church, Leslie says " I enjoy sacred and secular music performance, cooking, travel and needlework, in addition to being the proud mother of two great young adult children."
Pat Barbara, Child Care Provider
"Miss Pat" is our child care provider. Pat teaches preschool at Clark Elementary in Charlottesville. Pat grew up primarily overseas and graduated from high school in Alexandria Egypt from Schutz American School, originally a Presbyterian missionary school. She says, “I enjoy working with the children during the 11:00 service. I am closely related to the piano/harp player, she is my sister! Blue Ridge is a greatfamily in Christ!” Pat has two grown children, Gina, and Joey, who is currently serving in the military.
